Jack Boehme

The following flies are believed to all be Jack Boehme original flies from western Montana. Jack Boehme was a founding father of western, and more specifically Montana, trout fishing with a fly. His flies are some of the most beautiful in existence and have a very unique signature all his own. Jack Boehme was also a noted fly caster and was known to present his bee pattern lapel flies to participants at regional fly casting events (see fly in vise below and a "Western Casting Winner" bee pattern and an "Eastern Casting Winner" bee pattern).

The vise above is an original vise used by Jack Boehme at The Turf-in Missoula, MT "The Home of Boehme's Flies and Famous BALSA-BUGS." The vise is constructed from old gun parts. Below is original packaging used to sell the famous Picket Pin flies. (Both the vise, box and several of the flies shown below are resident in the personal collection of Don Labbe of California.
